The Sopwith Camel was the most widely and most numerously produced aircraft of WW-1. A total of 5,490 Camels were constructed by at least nine manufacturers and the design was considered to be one of the best dogfighters of the 1914-1918 conflict. The Camels claim to fame was that of the downing
of German Ace Baron von Richthofen on April 21, 1918.
